Research the buying mission.
Start with what the shopper is trying to do: find a nearby store, buy a family outfit, compare a practical item or check delivery to a postcode. City tiers alone do not explain intent. Listen for budget, language, occasion and service expectations without treating a location as a complete customer profile.
Match the promise and the destination.
A specific query deserves a relevant product, collection or store page. Check the available sizes, payable price, offer conditions and delivery information. A broad campaign can bring visits that your selected inventory cannot satisfy.
Keep clicks and people separate.
A search click, a session, a direction request and a completed purchase are different measures. Define each one. When comparing organic and paid discovery, avoid adding overlapping attribution counts and calling the result unique new customers.
Test the next useful action.
For a digital store, examine a retained purchase. For local retail, independently measure store entry and purchase where possible. Treat a direction request as intent. Decide in advance what evidence would justify more investment.
Bring a real question.
Be ready to challenge the plan.
Put the customer need, the evidence and the commercial outcome on the table. A recommendation should be able to defend its place.
